Keeping Children Safe: Designated Officer Training - Antrim

This one day certificated training is suitable for Designated and Deputy Designated Child Protection Officers. It will cover:
- knowledge of the legal context of child protection;
- an understanding of the role and responsibilities of a Designated Officer;
- knowledge of Health and Social Care Trust structures and processes; and
- exploration of issues and concerns around referrals and sharing information.
All participants must have completed a child protection awareness raising course prior to attending. Keeping Children Safe: Training for Staff and Volunteers or Keeping Children Safe: Training for Managers, Supervisors and Management Committee members are suitable foundation courses.
Places are allocated on a first come, first served basis and are limited to a maximum of 5 per organisation. If courses are fully booked your details will be placed on a waiting list for future courses.

Cost: £75 per person
Cancellation policy
Should you need to cancel your booking, no charge will be applied if written notice is received 5 working days before the course. Volunteer Now regrets that if written notice is received less than 5 working days before the course, a £10 cancellation charge will be made. If no notice is given, full course fees must be paid. Volunteer Now reserves the right to cancel a course at any time. Once you receive your confirmation email, no further reminders will be issued.
