Cost: FREE

A special Institute of Fundraising (IOFNI) Lunchtime Bite which will serve as a precursor to the IOFNI Annual conference is a free event focusing on Lean in and how you can make it work for your networking.

How many business cards can you hand out?
"If the very thought of networking makes you throw up in your mouth, you’re not alone. Networking makes us feel dirty — to the point that one study found that people rate soap and toothpaste 19 percent more positively after imagining themselves angling to make professional contacts at a cocktail party", Adam Grant.

So with the IOF conference coming up, here's your chance to have a different take on networking.  This one hour session will help you prepare for the conference, identify your purpose in going and help you be more effective in your interactions at the conference and afterwards.

What’s Lean in Belfast all about?

Inspired by the book, @LeanInBelfast wants to offer support and opportunity to women and men together in Belfast. The aim of this chapter is to provide support and encouragement to all members so that we can help each other achieve our dreams and overcome our challenges to be the best that we can be.

Our Story - Lean In Together - Nuala Murphy, a successful entrepreneur based in Northern Ireland, started Lean In Belfast just over two years ago. Lean In was started by Sheryl Sandberg, Facebook’s COO, to address the lack of women in leadership roles.

This session will be delivered by Lisa Strutt
