Guide Dogs Volunteer Information Roadshow - Lisburn

The roadshow is a brilliant opportunity to meet local guide dog owners already benefiting from the charity’s work. Talking to them about their involvement with the charity and the difference having a guide dog has made to their lives will prove vital in realising how important volunteer help can be.Jolene Moran Volunteer Development Coordinator from Guide Dogs said: “There are so many ways to volunteer. We’re looking for fundraisers, puppy walkers, volunteer drivers, branch secretaries and treasurers, collection box coordinators and sighted guides. You can volunteer as an individual, or become involved in our local fundraising team. Volunteering is fun and rewarding – you know you are helping to make a real difference to the lives of blind and partially-sighted people.”

 

The charity is keen to raise its presence in the Lisburn area and gain support to strengthen the local fundraising team.

 

Guide Dogs are entirely funded by voluntary donations, and the charity needs support from volunteers to maximise its services for blind and partially-sighted people.
