Governance for New Trustees
NICVA
Sometimes individuals may be asked to sit on committees/boards without fully realising what is expected of them.
This session is specifically designed for those who are newly elected/appointed onto the committee/board of a charitable organisation (charity trustees). It will also be of interest to those charity trustees (committee members/directors) who wish to understand more about their role on the committee/board and what is expected of them.
The training will examine:
- The role of the committee/board
- Legal duties and best practice considerations
- Charity regulation
- The principles of good governance
This training has been arranged in the early evening to suit those who work during the day and will run from 6pm - 8.30pm. Tea/coffee and sandwiches will be available from 5.30pm.
Cost: £40 NICVA members, £60 non-members
