Disability Sport NI will be running a taster event in Armagh, offering opportunities to try Wheelchair Basketball and Boccia alongside current local club members.
Disability Sport NI will be running a taster event at the Orchard Leisure Centre, Armagh offering opportunities to try Wheelchair Basketball or Boccia alongside current local club members.
You will have access to quality coaching and advice on Paralympic Pathways.
The Boccia is open to people with a physical disability. We would particularly like to recruit people with cerebral palsy and other neurological conditions.
The Wheelchair Basketball is open to everyday wheelchair users, people with spinal cord injuries, people with lower limb amputations and people with minimal disabilities. Eg. Club foot, mild CP and any in-depth surgery that may prevent you playing the running game

Volunteer NowTraining/AdviceThis course is aimed at individuals who recruit, manage or supervise staff and volunteers working with children and/or adults. It will examine the procedures that need to be put in place for effective recruitment and selection of staff and volunteers including requirements under the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups (NI) Order, the current and former definitions of regulated activity and how to exercise careful judgement when assessing information on an Access NI Disclosure Certificate. It will also look at the procedures required for the effective management of staff and volunteers including induction and training, breach of code of behaviour and referral to the Disclosure and Barring Service.- - -
