Digital Visions - COMMUNITY TELEVISION BROADCASTING IN DUBLIN & CORK

The South of Ireland has seen strong development in community television broadcasting. ThisPanel discussion explores its development and plans for future distribution across the island. Ballymun Communications will profile an excerpt from Scéal na Laoch, their heritage documentary on  the campaign to open the first all-Irish school in a working class area of Dublin. Near TV will profile excerpts from their youth series Control Yourself, a media literacy project produced by young people from the Northside Partnership Youth Leadership Programme and Frameworks Films will profile their docudrama with NASC, Irish Immigrant Support Centre.

The event will be filmed and streamed on the Internet.
