A free 1 hour session facilitated by the Information Commissioners Office (ICO) on the reform of data protection legislation.

This overview highlights the key themes of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) to help organisations understand the new legal framework in the EU. It explains the similarities with the existing UK Data Protection Act 1998 (DPA), and describes some of the new and different requirements.

GDPR will apply in the EU from May 25 2018 and organisations will have to comply with it from that date. 

The session takes place on Friday, 18 November 2016 from 10am - 11am in NICVA and is free to attend.
