Charity Screening of Dirty Dancing

On Saturday 18th February 2017 come and walk the red carpet at Strand Arts Centre between 7:30pm - 8:30pm and receive your complimentary glass of prosecco!

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of Dirty Dancing this iconinc movie will be aired at the Strand Arts Centre, movie starting at 8:45pm. 

Tickets £10 per person with proceeds going to Headway and Cancer Fund For Children.

Two friends Paula and Nikki have decided to hold a fundraiser to raise some money for charities whilst organising a fun night out for all the Patrick Swazye fans.  

For Nikki the charity chosen had a personal reason.  In March 2014, 5 months before her wedding she suffered a subarachnoid haemorrhage or in laymans terms a brain aneurysm.  Over the next 5 months was spent in hospital going through rehab to learn to walk and learn the most basic tasks again.  As you can imagine it was a terrifying time but thanks to the help of organisations like Headway Nikki got back on her feet again and the wedding went ahead in August as planned.  Now she wants to give back by raising some money to allow Headways to help provide support  to others who have suffered a brain injury.

For Paula she wanted to support a Charity which provides support for children due to her job as a teacher. Although she has never had to use the support that Cancer Fund for Children provides personally, through her job she sees at first hand the devastation that a serious illness in the family can have on children.
