Campaign Outreach Team Training: Introduction to Campaigning

Oxfam Ireland

Oxfam Ireland

Cost: Free

This training is for anyone interested in joining our Campaign Outreach Team this Summer. As part of the team you'll attend events and festivals across Northern Ireland to speak to the public about the migration crisis and gather petition signatures.

We’re recruiting volunteers to join our Campaign Outreach Team this summer.

This is a great opportunity to be a part of a really important movement.  With the U.N. preparing to hold a Migration Summit in September, this summer is a vital time for us to gather support and make our voices heard to ensure the rights of refugees and migrants are upheld.

Together, we can make a difference by protecting and standing in solidarity with people on the move who are thrust into crisis and poverty by circumstances beyond their control. We’re calling on our politicians to do their duty to protect vulnerable people as they move to escape the unimaginable horrors of war, persecution and impossible living conditions.

As a member of the Campaign Outreach Team, you’ll be invited to a training session at our offices where you’ll meet Oxfam staff working on the campaign and learn more about Oxfam, migration and campaigning techniques. There will also be the opportunity for some people to receive advanced training and become a Campaign Outreach Team Leader. After your initial training, you can sign up for the events that suit you from June to September 2016. Whether you are available for a couple of shifts or want to become a key member of our team throughout the summer, we will work with your availability.

As well as attending all the best events and bespoke training, some food and transportation costs will be covered To apply to join Oxfams campaign outreach team, register for training and find out more information on applying email [email protected] or ring 028 90 895941
