The Big Lighthouse Draw

The World’s Biggest Drawing Festival takes place every October, so come along and get creative with our local artists and take part in Titanic Foundation’s Big Lighthouse Draw.

This year’s theme is Living Lines, designed to get your marks moving! We are inviting little artists to come to Donaghadee Community Centre to get creative and explore the wonder of moving images. The Big Draw will see the children’s very own drawings brought to life, and the group will work together to create a beautiful shadow animation inspired by the lighthouses and coastline around them. Busy hands will also be creating miniature lighthouses and take pen to paper to generate massive drawings. We cannot wait to see what you have up your sleeves!

Don't miss out, the event is free to attend but booking is essential, please contact natasha.mackay@titanic-foundation.org or call 02890 730490.

This is a family event, all children must be accompanied, and it is suitable for age 5 upwards.

Titanic Foundation is a charity who preserve and promote Belfast’s maritime and industrial heritage. They have been working with Irish Lights since 2014 to save and restore Mew Island Lighthouse Optic due to its immense historic importance. A new home for the optic is being built in Titanic Quarter, once the world’s largest shipyard and will open early 2018. The project has been funded by Heritage Lottery Fund, Belfast City Council’s Local Investment Fund and Ulster Garden Villages.
