An Alternative G8 View on
Conflict, Transition and Gender
As the G8 leaves Northern Ireland, this is an opportune moment to reflect on the responsibilities of the world community towards areas facing the transition from conflict.
What is happening on the ground in conflict afflicted areas? What is and can be done to assist processes of transition to peaceful and democratic governance? What is the role of women and gender in these processes? Transitional Justice Institute / Amnesty International are delighted to welcome an international panel of civil society activists with experience of working across the globe from Colombia to the Congo, from Afghanistan to the Philippines.

Karol Balfe, (Ireland)
Yasmin Lao (Philippines)
Sofi Ospina, (Colombia)
