Adult Safeguarding: A Shared Responsibility is a nine hour (1½ Day) certificated course for those working with vulnerable adults.
The course looks at:
• Awareness of vulnerability in adulthood including the legal context, abuse and abusers, signs and indicators of abuse and the procedures for reporting concerns.
• Creating a safe environment including planning activities, risk assessment, and code of behaviour.
• Management of staff and volunteers including legislation, recruitment and selection of staff/volunteers, effective management and procedures for dealing with allegations.

This training course costs £20 per person and is certificated. To book your place, please go to www.volunteernow.co.uk/training-and-standards. Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis. This training will be provided for voluntary, community and independent sectors and a maximum of three participants from any one organisation will be accepted on to each training course.
